A seriously delicious, casual, hip seafood restaurant in Playa Del Rey, right near the beach. It is owned and managed by Brooke Williamson, who is one of my favorite Top Chef winners. She really has some unique dishes on the menu and every single one has great flavors and preparation. I will say the only downside we experienced was we were a table of two and had to wait 45 minutes for our first appetizers to arrive at our table, but I’m guessing that was due to some sort of delay in the kitchen. Inside is really well designed and laid out well. It’s very spacious, modern and as indoor and outdoor seating options. I love that outside has a working fire pit with tables all around it and views of the sand dunes. They also have a full bar that was very busy when we dined in this past Saturday night and I did not see a single open table so I would recommend making reservations before stopping in. Parking in the area can be a bit tricky but we are able to find a free street space a few hundred feet away from the restaurant entrance. There is plenty of parking options near the water side, north west of the restaurant. The menu has a ton of great options on it and our server was extremely polite. It took me a while to choose what I wanted to order because there were so many things that I wanted to get. The first dish that came was the Fried Crab Claw and we thought these were fantastic. We ordered two but they have a lot of meat in them so they are more filling than they look. The dipping sauces on the side were a great addition and I love the Old Bay seasoning with them. Next came the Clam Chowder and this was one of the best Clam Chowders I’ve had in a very long time. The pancetta inside was a great addition and it just had really nice flavors. We followed that with a Bluefin Tuna Tartare that may have been our favorite of the three appetizers. It had great flavors and a bit of a crunch to it, and I could taste the mix of flavors long after finishing the dish. For our entrées, we chose the Connecticut Style Seafood Roll and the Bucket of Clams and Mussels. We also ordered a side of the Sunchokes, which were fantastic. Sunchokes are in the artichoke family and taste just like an artichoke heart so if you’ve never had one, but like artichokes, I would highly recommend ordering this. Both our entrées were fantastic, the Connecticut Style Seafood Roll was filled with all different types of seafood and was much more filling than I anticipated. The bucket of Clams and Mussels was also great and the sauce it came in it was very light but packed with flavor. I was really impressed with all the dishes that we ordered and we did not have a single bad item. Aside from the delay getting the food items to us, it was a great meal and I would highly recommend to anyone in the area or even close by. This would be a great place to visit with friends/family or it would also be a nice date spot. I would definitely recommend and I plan to be back many times in the future.

We came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon and it was not too busy but definitely seems like a popular place to eat. We ordered at the counter and then we were able to seat ourselves and choose a place to sit. We ordered the Reuben sandwich and the lobster seafood roll. Both were one of the best sandwiches we had and were so delicious. The Reuben didn’t seem like a traditional Reuben but had their own twist which we loved. We are definitely coming back and excited to try more but would be hard to not reorder the same sandwiches because of how amazing they were.

Excellent food and service. We shared a dozen oysters of 4 different varieties. The Cajun shrimp and dungeness crab benedict was tasty but one of the egg yolks was overcooked. The corned beef rueben was definitely shareable. We ordered a side of fries and it was served with ketchup! I thought that was rather mundane. The server brought a delicious aioli instead. The cup of hot Chai tea was wonderful - plain without latte. Our adult beverages were excellent.

Super cute atmosphere, the larger seating area is not open till five so if you have a large group of friends that may be a better time to meet. There is also decent parking and it’s right next to the beach. The parking right across the street notes no parking 12 noon till 2:30 PM on Thursdays and no parking 10 PM till 6 AM nightly. Stephen was an absolute pleasure. He answered all my questions and insured. I knew my options before placing my order. I tried the corned beef and it wasn’t bad. My corn beef expectations are pretty high coming from Detroit Michigan and having a corn beef sandwich from Lou’s deli, if you know you know (I.Y.K.Y.K) I felt $26 was a bit high for the meal which also elevated my expectations. The fries were pretty tasty and there was a decent amount that could certainly be shared.

Playa Provisions – Warm Vibes, Incredible Banana Bread Playa Provisions is a coastal gem that blends laid-back charm with high-quality food and genuinely kind people. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming—easy to relax in, with good energy all around. I have to say, the banana bread completely blew me away. It was gluten-free and hands down the best banana bread I’ve ever had—moist, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The bacon was also a standout—crispy, delicious, and reasonably priced, which is rare these days. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even better. Whether you’re looking for a quiet morning bite or a spot to soak in positive vibes and great food, Playa Provisions is a place I’ll be returning to again and again.

We stopped here for breakfast. Options are limited especially if you’re vegetarian/vegan. We had a croissant (which was quite good) served with jam, and a buttermilk biscuit which was very fresh and tasty. The breakfast plate however looked a bit sad. Drinks were good (tea and oat milk cappuccino). Their patio is very dog and child friendly but parking is difficult (only option is valet parking or street parking if you’re lucky).

This was my first visit to this very crowded and vibrant restaurant where Culver Blvd meets Pacific Ave in Playa Del Rey. Valet parking only ($5, plus tip). I had a 2:30pm reservation but was in the area early so I ended up dining at the bar. I started with a Hendricks gin & tonic ($14) and two Peruvian Scallops ($7ea). The scallops were a visual and taste treat … curry Amarillo sauce, daikon relish, yuzu tobiko, sea grass and some chili oil. I should have ordered more. I had the lobster roll ($26), cold chunks of lobster meat, mixed with pickled mustard seed, celery and crushed potato chips in a soft, toasted roll. It was very good, but I wished the lobster meat was warmer. I should have ordered a side of fries … the person next to me had a large bowl of fries … I was jealous! I ended my meal with a cup of coffee (gratis) and walked out sated. This restaurant was added to my list of “must stops” when I’m in LA. To remind me, I bought a T-shirt with their logo on the rear ($35).
